Maker's Guild 2.0 🚀

Happy Pongal/Sankranti 🎉

It is an auspicious day in our Tamil/Telugu calendar. We are kickstarting our revived Maker's Guild today. In Tamil Nadu, Pongal release is special 🤪. All superstars release their movies this day usually and they tend to be super hits 😉 I also wanted to release something on Pongal. So here is Maker's Guild 2.0.

For folks who are new here: Maker's Guild is a (free) community for product designers, engineers, program managers and product managers like you and me. As knowledge workers we use knowledge to make a living. In other words, knowledge is our tool in our arsenal and depending on how sharp we keep it, that much we grow. Each one of us needs a different core skills to ace in our fields. But all us need a bunch of common meta skills to grow in our careers like reading/writing/speaking/learning/building. Guild focuses on these meta skills. Learning by doing is the best way to learn and hence we anchor everything on action inside the Guild. Action is no nonsense. Either you act or you don't. There is no in between. You grow when you act and that is it. No bullshit. I am super thrilled about the possibilities ahead of us 😍

We have completely revamped and upgraded our maker sprints. We are rolling it out today and we will keep at it for the next 14 days. Then comes the next sprint and the next. We roll for 20 sprints this year by taking into account all the holidays and festive throughout the year. The calendar is up and running already.

Along with me, we have amazing bunch of club leads who will facilitate the sprints everyday, share resources and help folks to close their intent action gap sprint after sprint. 

Action is hard work and hence we need a community to ease it. When like minded people get together, the energy and learnings are exponential. We will keep compounding our learnings throughout the year and keep growing in our careers. We are determined to make 2024 count for the Guild 🔥
