Sensibowl
Today marks the end of our first sprint @ Sensibowl. Whooo hoooo π
21 days of sugar de-addiction was the core of our starter sprint.
The entire cohort kept it up by 90% and that is incredible. Doing this alone would have been a nightmare. Doing it together generated energy and accountability for all of us.
Sprint 1 was all about deleting bad quality foods. We have started the sprint 2 by adding quality foods. Slowly but surely we are getting healthy.
Our motto is to be sensible and do the right things. As a side effect allow the right things to happen. we must wait for the results to show up over time but what can be done in our locus of control is getting done every single day.
I am more convinced now that metabolic health is 80% behavioral science and 20% life sciences. I strongly beleive that system design has simple solution to this complicated problem.
We have 7 more sprints to go with each sprint progressively elaborating on the previous one in the Sensibowl program. This way we get to compound all the goodness as we move forward for 180 days.
Weight loss and metabolic health is a full time job. It takes a lot of energy. With too many competing priorities it gets harder to focus. Usually the first priority that gets dropped is our own health. That is exactly what we donβt want to do.
As a cohort we are intentionally focusing on our health and we are stopping all things we could stop.
For example: I stopped even daily (good) habits like writing that took time from me each day and spent it on cooking my own meals, sleeping a little more, taking time off from screens etc. It helped. It was hard to break habits but the ruthless prioritisation helped.
Days are long. Decades are short.
Everyday we had/have different challenges and together we slay them.
Everyday feels super long with the consciousness.
It is easier to sleep walk life. It is harder to be intentional with high intensity.
And this support is what is missing in the journey of health as our doctors are super busy themselves. Hopefully Sensibowl will solve the accountability problem for knowledge workers with sedentary lifestyles and improve our metabolic health over time.
P.S: Apologies for the slack in writing here. Candidly speaking, writing in social media like LinkedIn had more dopamine and I lost my discipline of writing here to itπ€·ββοΈ
I took a decision to hop on to my daily writing habit post my sprint and hence rekindling the habit again.
π₯ to metabolic health!
