What do you think is the most valuable resource of your life?

JRD Tata had a friend who used to say that he misplaces and loses his pen very often. He will use only very cheap pens so that he need not worry about losing them. He was worried about carelessness habit. JRD suggested to him to buy the costliest pen he could afford and see what happens.

He did that and purchased a 22 carat gold Cross pen. After nearly six months JRD met him and asked him if he continues to misplace his pen. His friend said that he is very careful about his costly pen and he is surprised how he has changed! JRD explained to him that the value of the pen made the difference and there was nothing wrong with him as a person!

When something is valuable we start using them very carefully.

The question is do we really do that ?
Even better question is ...
do we even know what are these valuable resources?

Hint: Economics says all resources are limited. So what is the most valuable resource among the limited resources?

This question bugged me for a long time. I found the answer painfully. Today, I want to share that with you using a simple argument.

Money for example: you can make, you can save, you can hoard, you can multiply, you can share, you can invest and you can also keep it under your pillow and do nothing.

Can you do all the above with TIME? Think about it.

Between money and time,
which resource is more scarce?
which resource is more limited?

If you got the right answer, ask yourself where are you focussing?

Let us assume you have 100 years of life (that is a long lifetime for average human being). It translates into 36500 days only.

In that you sleep 12000+ days. You work 7000+ days. Everything else in the remaining days including family, friends, education, kids and even Netflix 🙄

What is that 22 carat gold cross of your time?
What could you do to make it count?
What could you make you guard your time?

🥂to ticking clock!
