Delegation Reimagined
Delegation. Reimagined.
The way I delegate has radically changed, thanks to AI.
As a leader, a huge part of my role is setting direction and providing context. But in high-velocity innovation environments, even I often don’t have full clarity at the start. We go through rounds of brainstorming just to figure out what we should be solving.
And truth be told, I don’t sleep well with ambiguity.
Clarity hits me during my walks. Or when I’m sipping evening coffee. At 10 pm, a spark lights up. I type the idea out frantically, then thoughtfully schedule to send at 9 am next morning. If you’ve ever been an entrepreneur, you know the itch to solve now.
That itch has a partner now. AI.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve started working through my late-night sparks with AI as my thought partner. I slice, dice, and shape the problem overnight. By morning, I’ve got 70% clarity—sometimes even a working prototype that would’ve taken me 4 hours in Figma. Now, I just walk and prompt.
We no longer begin team discussions from zero. We start at 70. We build from there. Faster. Sharper.
Meetings are more focused. Brainstorms have a springboard. My delegation is clearer, more strategic. No wasted cycles. What used to take three weeks now gets done in three days.
This is what it feels like when scoping is no longer a bottleneck.
AI didn’t just make me faster. It made me better.
