Every new year (irrespective of the calendar) offers a fresh chance to start, restart, or continue your path to awesomeness.
For 2025, I adopted one basic principle: take one day at a time. Instead of grand annual plans that leave me disappointed, I created an overarching system with daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly checklists. This works brilliantly as my schedule gets pulled in multiple directions.
When morning flights disrupt walks or evening flights interfere with Pilates, I don't get upset. Rather than making disappointment my only constant, I set an 80% target I can happily meet.
I've also limited my focus to just 2 of 5 pillars: health and learning. Everything I do shows up either in my body/mind or my essays.
Simplifying goals, systems, and accountability while staying data-driven has been incredibly relieving. The thinking load is gone—now it's just about doing it every single hour. The goals are so meta that everything culminates there. I truly understand that simplicity is sophisticated.
My inner human still jumps up and down with impostor thoughts and maybe this isn't enough feelings daily. I tell it to shut the f**k up and just do it. When I take control, my brain behaves like a puppy. Your mind is more powerful than your body, but your body is where measurement happens. So be aware and be ware. Take today as a new possibility to crush this year. Hey fiscal starts only on April 1 for 🇮🇳 🤪
