Empathy

There are a few words which makes me feel: language is limited.

Empathy, Breathe, Love, Compassion etc are those words in my experience. The depth of the word is lot more than just the word.

I don't get to talk about other powerful words in my profession but empathy is something we breathe everyday as designers.

I am running a mindset series for our Digital Product Design group this month. It is a 10 part series to talk about designer mindsets. Today it was time to talk about Empathy as a mindset.

While as designers we are cracking empathy, I thought it will be great to share with all of you as well.

It took me a long time to understand Empathy.

I often confused it with sympathy at one end, compassion at another. Being empathetic needs a lot more than sympathy and compassion. Hope the video helps a bit.
