Nuggets from Women in Leadership

We had a badass panel at office today that discussed Women in Leadership 🔥 Thank you Mankiran Chowhan Pooja Narain Dr. Shalini Lal Meena Nishtha Dewani (IBM) for the amazing nuggets you showered throughout the session. I captured a few today and sharing it here for all us 🫶

In today's accelerating world, leadership demands constant adaptation. "What was ok last year is not ok this year," notes Mankiran, highlighting our new reality.

Leaders aren't born but forged through experience, developing self-awareness and surrounding themselves with complementary strengths. The power of vulnerability—admitting what you don't know and asking questions—creates authentic connection and growth.

Mental well-being forms the foundation of sustainable leadership. As uncertainty increases, building personal resilience through trusted relationships, optimism, and a growth mindset becomes essential.

Women in leadership navigate contradictory expectations, where assertiveness can be perceived as aggression while collaboration might be dismissed as weakness. Creating diverse teams requires intentional effort: ensuring underrepresented voices have seats at the table and establishing mentorship that supports growth.

As technology transforms work, new roles in AI and other fields emerge rapidly. Transitioning between domains requires courage and adaptability—skills accessible to everyone willing to learn.

The collective wisdom from these leaders is clear: Know yourself deeply. Find joy in your work. Maintain optimism. Be bold and fearless. Remember that "when you are green you grow, and when you are ripe you rot. Stay Green."

Continuous learning isn't just a strategy; it's the essence of meaningful leadership. Thank you Simon Avinash and Anandita Thakker for the fabulous moderation.

I will admit: I usually do multiple activities in a virtual call but today I was super tuned in and captured every word that came out. As a result my notes shows me 1772 words in total but LinkedIn doesn't allow me to bring it all here. I am glad I could share the concise version at the least.

Happy Women's Day folks 🫶 #IWD25 Thank you to all the allies for supporting us 🎊
